With winter sports now in full swing, all of our Chargers teams will be in action this week, and there’s never been a better time to come out and show your support! These athletes have been putting in the work day after day—early practices, late nights, long weekends—and your presence in the stands makes a huge difference. Let’s pack the gyms, get loud, and cheer on our Chargers as they continue to grow, compete, and represent CTA with pride!

Week in Review
Middle School Boys Basketball
The MS boys basketball team had an incredibly busy stretch this past week—really, the last four days. They kicked things off with a strong home win on Thursday against WMAES, taking the game 26–17.
Then came a packed weekend at the Our Savior Lutheran Tournament.
- Friday began with a matchup against St. Joseph Pewamo, where the boys fell 19–34.
- Saturday morning, they bounced back in a BIG way, dominating a talented Our Savior Lansing team 33–9.
- Their final game of the weekend was a battle to the finish against Calvary Christian–Fruitport, but the boys came up just short, 15–21.
They move to a record of 5-5 after the long weekend. We are incredibly proud of their effort, resilience, and teamwork through four games in three days! They have just a handful of games remaining—come support them as they wrap up a fantastic season!
Boys Varsity Basketball
Our varsity boys began their season on Thursday as they hosted Lighthouse Academy. Lighthouse showed they were a tough and experienced opponent, but our boys battled from tip to buzzer before ultimately falling 27–49. Even with the loss, we are already seeing noticeable improvement, stronger chemistry, and great effort. We’re excited to see the growth this week as they continue building on a strong foundation.
