As we head into a busy and important week, our student-athletes are balancing final exams in the classroom with big moments on the basketball court—and they’ve handled it with focus, discipline, and determination. The same work ethic it takes to prepare for finals is the same mindset that leads to success in athletics: preparation, confidence, and trust in the process. We’re proud of how our Chargers continue to represent CTA both academically and athletically.
All three of our basketball teams have stayed extremely busy over the past couple of weeks and have brought home multiple wins, showing just how much their hard work is paying off. As our middle school boys head into the final week of their season, we have high hopes that they’ll finish strong and continue to compete with the same energy and heart they’ve shown all year.

Week in Review
Middle School Boys Basketball
Our middle school boys moved to 6–5 on the season after defeating Barry County Christian in their lone game last week. They now head into a busy final week of the season, with hopes of finishing 9–5 as they take on three opponents. The boys have continued to show growth, grit, and confidence, and we’re excited to see how they close things out!
Girls Varsity Basketball
Our girls varsity team had a busy and successful week on the court and currently sits at 2–1 overall and 2–0 in conference play. They kicked things off with a win against Barry County, earning a 25–19 victory. The girls then faced a very tough Sparta JV squad, falling 14–45, but used the experience as a learning opportunity. They responded in a big way on Friday, defeating Heritage Christian 37–16 and continuing to show improvement and resilience.
Boys Varsity Basketball
Our boys varsity team faced some tough competition this past week. Barry County proved to be one of the top teams in the conference, as the Chargers came up short in that matchup. However, our boys showed fight and determination as they bounced back against another strong opponent in Heritage Christian, narrowly falling 39–49. The team remains motivated and ready for a new week as they continue their search for that first win of the season.
