We are officially entering the winter sports season, and it’s beginning to look the part with snow on the ground! Our middle school boys basketball team is the only team competing so far, while our high school teams are getting started with practices and preparing for their upcoming seasons.Winter is always an exciting time for CTA Athletics as the action moves indoors and the gym fills with energy. Basketball season brings a special kind of intensity—fast-paced games, team chemistry, and the thrill of competition. Fun fact: basketball was invented in 1891 by Dr. James Naismith, who used two peach baskets and a soccer ball for the very first game! What started as a way to keep students active during the cold winter months has become one of the most popular sports in the world—and a huge part of CTA’s athletic tradition. We’re looking forward to seeing how our winter teams continue to grow, compete, and represent CTA with pride this season!Week in ReviewMiddle School Boys BasketballOur m

CTA Varsity Soccer pulled off an impressive 6–3 win in Tuesday evening’s play-in game against WMAES! With that victory, the Chargers advance to the Conference Semi-Final matchup.

The semi-final game will take place Thursday, October 16th at 5:00 PM at Algoma, where CTA will face the regular season champions, Algoma Christian.

In two previous meetings, the Chargers have yet to secure a win against the Knights—who have proven to be one of the toughest teams in the conference. It will take quite a game from our Chargers to pull off the upset, but we know they’ll come ready to compete and fight until the final whistle!

Let’s go Chargers!
